Is Linus really NPR’s Peter Overby?

If you’ve ever listened to NPR, you are sure to have heard NPR’s Peter Overby.  I don’t know if his voice sounds at all familiar to you, but when I first heard him, I immediately thought of Linus from Peanuts.  Listen to this clip carefully and see if you too make the connection.  I may be hallucinating, but I think maybe not.

By the way, I am a fan of NPR, Peter Overby, and Linus and make the comparison as a compliment, not a joke or to poke fun.

You know, everyone has a doppelganger and I imagine the same is true of our voices. I wonder what a voice double is called – doppelstimme?
